Respect for Law is a project that was introduced at the International level, since the time it was revealed many Optimist Clubs as well as Junior Optimist Clubs have taken on this project.
In May of 2023, the Junior Optimist Club of Cornwall took the opportunity to thank the Police Force in and around Cornwall with Canadian flags made of wood.
It was important to thank them for going out of their way every day to help the citizens of Cornwall and area.

In April of 2022, the Junior Optimist Club of Cornwall thanked the all the School Crossing Guards in Cornwall with a Mug and a Tim Hortons gift card.
It was important to thank them for being outside everyday during the school year no matter the weather. They are always out there making sure that kids can get to school without getting hurt.
